GT3 Touring Car Cup
After a 7 race series and a struggle with the underpowered FX GT3 #25 Last Lap Motorsports finishes the season in 3rd place, rounding off the series podium. The series consisted of many 2-3 hour races, Last Lap Motorsports consistently showed for the races and managed to keep up in the points standings. The final race of the season was an important race in the standings as it was a double points event. Jarl Teien started off the race in 3rd place and quickly made use of his r3 r2 tyre strategy over the Drunkteam’s R4 R3 strategy. However it because clear drunk had an advantage because they could slide through the turns, but LLM’s tires grew thin very quickly. Because of this AroX was forced to lay off and wait to make adjustments. After a close battle with DRUNK and Mega Racing Team that involved many bumps and nudges through the hair pin and chicanes there was little gain by arox. Ray Kings (Bmxtwins) jumped into the car to take hours 3 and 4, his first hour he was able to sustain 3rd place and when a caution was called for Drunk team’s tires popping due to no heat during caution laps Bmxtwins imediately pitted 10 minutes early and popped back out in 3rd place. By the time the restart got under way Ray’s early stop was beneficial. Ray realized he had much speed over the Mega Team FZR and had made a 16 second gap, Ray backed off and conserved tires. What Ray did not realize was how fast thir second driver was. Ray handed the car off to Joel Villa (SilverFang) who immediately falls back to 4th. Joel races the last hour with all his skill but Last Lap Motorsports is only able to take 4th.
Overall howerver a podium was taken.

Signings

Antti Heimo has joined Last Lap Motorsports as a trial member, Antti will be joining us for MiniFBM aswell.Antti is also known as “RedBullet” and is a fast driver with mouse and wheel.

The end is coming to the New Age Sim Racing NASCAR Heat triple series, with just 2 races left in the Nationwide series Bmxtwins scores a 3rd place at Memphis with teammate Patch on his heels. After qualifying 4th and quickly moving to 3rd,Bmxtwins is followed by brother Mustangman, and then teammate Patch. The 3 red LLM cars kept straight and stayed clean as cars ahead battled for the uppermost positions. GTSVip9 eventually overpowered the trio on his charge to first. Mustangman had moved behind Patch by pitstop time and Patch was smelling Bmxtwins’ bumper. To avoid chaos Bmxtwins gave up his long run strategy to gain bonus points by leading laps and pitted 1 lap before half way, this proved to pay off as he had no traffic entering or exiting the pits. The other 2 LLM cars pitted on normal strategy and Bmxtwins zipped by them as they were coming off the apron. With 20 to go Bmxtwins and Patch hounded down Blackflag8’s Chevy and started to work on him, Bmxtwins made it by for a few laps but slipped up and the position was given back. The race was nearing the end when Bmxtwins darted passed the #8 and was able to get in front of him in the next lap, the #26 Budweiser of Patch also flung by the #8 and attempted to catch the #25 Budweiser Chevrolet, but Bmxtwins had opened up a large gap, finishing 3rd behind GTSVip9 and Donaldson. Mustang came out a dissapointing 7th position.

After qualifying was rained out at Sebring and random grid positions were drawn Bmxtwins started 4th, Patch 3rd, and Mustangman on the last row. Bmxtwins would’ve been sitting on pole with his teammate, Patch, on his right flank and Mustang in the 2nd row. Immediatly at the start Bmxtwins overtakes KartRacer63, who allows the field to pass. In turn 1  Bmxtwins finds himself on the outside of Patch. Going into the 3rd turn Bmxtwins makes heavy contact with the rear of GTSVip9’s red New Age Sim Racing sport car due to emergency braking on the latter driver’s part. Bmxtwins was able to pass the offtrack driver and run away with a 5 second lead in the first half of the race. After the turn 3 incedent Mustangman tbone’s TheMrMet, causing him to flip as a result of the tangle up. Patch drops back as a result of the incident but quickly runs up to 3rd before pit stops. After pitstops Bmxtwins tries to keep his safe lead and by the end of the race manages to enlarge the gap to around 20 seconds. Patch is eventually able to push by GTSVip9 and secure 2nd place, and Mustangman holds 4th place. Bmxtwins has won his first roadcourse race after finishing 2nd back to back in the last 2 events and consistently finishing 3rd for 5 races at SpeedSims.net.

Bmxtwins, Ron Jones, and Patch took to the track on Saturday in hopes of scoring high points. LLM’s Patch took the pole with a very fast lap time, Ron’s #47 sat on 3rd and Bmxtwins on 4th. After the green flag flies and drivers rocket down the stretches at 220 miles per hour Ron Jones’ orange and white car loses traction in turn 3, Bmxtwins was drafting off of Ron and when he got sideways Bmxtwins piled in with the rest of the field behind him. Ron takes to the wall and is forced to pit but Bmxtwins is able to stay out on track with spoiler damage, though his laptimes were significantly slower his fuel strategy was not effected. By the first pitstops Bmxtwins was far behind, Patch was in 1st, and Ron Jones near the rear. As the race war on Bmxtwins avoided wreck after wreck and moved into the 4th and 3rd spots consistently. Eventually he was collected in a wreck and had to endure another slow stint because of spoiler damage. Patch continued his dominating lead, leading more than half of the 75 laps. After final stops Patch hit bad luck and was collected by a spinning car and lost the lead to Blaxman. Bmxtwins had yet again another spin and got a significant amount of spoiler damage. Triz was quickly gaining on Bmxtwins from 29 seconds back but eventually brought it down to about a second gap, Bmxtwins had just enough laps to finish 3rd. Patch crossed the line 2nd, and Ron Jones somehow managed to salvage a fifth even after his early incident. Last Lap Motorsports currently holds the points lead for teams in the SpeedSims.net Indy Racing League.

Last Tuesday at http://NewAgeSimRacing.com NASCAR Heat league, members Mustangman and Bmxtwins take first and second places with Patch finishing 4th. Bmxtwins had started off qualifying in the 4th position with medium damage from riding to close to the wall on warm up lap, and Mustangman in the rear. The race started off well for LLM as Bmxtwins clung to 3rd place and Mustangman had charged to the rear of the lead pack. After a few laps Mustangman had already made a push to the inside and took to 3rd. Bmxtwins moved to the rear of the lead field, running a different line which provided more straightaway speed. Bmxtwins had hung onto the pack for a while but soon fell off pace and dropped out of the draft. Next to follow this trend was DusterLag who drafted with Bmxtwins until pitstops. Mustangman was leading into the pits as GTSVip9 spun on entry, and Patch’s car got sideways. Bmxtwins took advantage of this and tookover 2nd. A. Kline who had pitted a lap earlier was 4 seconds in front of Bmxtwins at pit exit, and Mustangman up by 10 seconds. Bmxtwins knew he had to get help for this last 20 laps and he dropped back to draft with DusterLag. This draft payed off in the end as mustang was only 5 seconds ahead and A.Kline only 2. Then Duster got up tight to the wall and Bmxtwins had too much momentum to back off, the draft was gone and Bmxtwins was alone. Mustangman was 1st A.Kline 2nd Bmxtwins 3rd. On the LAST LAP A.Kline’s car runs out of gas because of bad pit strategy and Bmxtwins easily glides by while only being a second behind. Mustangman takes the win in his #21 Ford, Bmxtwins in 2nd in his #25 Chevy, and Patch, 4th in his #14 Chevrolet.

LFS:

This month marks the first year of [LLM] existing in LFS. In this past year we have had great fun and many members have joined. In the past year we have tried to demonstrate that we are not some noob team that runs around wrecking eachother. Though we aren’t the fastest team we can easily be known as one of the cleanest. We had a few bad members in this past year which had been dealt with. We have come a long way from the team that just raced on public team to one which is trying to incorporate leagues, even running our very own GT3 Cup. We have recently participated in GTAL Round 5, Nathan Lamothe, Jarl Teien, and Oscar Hardwick (former co-manager). Jarl and Oscar kindly stepped in to guest drive for us. Also in the course of this LFS year we managed to get one driver on the podium of a series and the team as well. The speedsims.net FOX championship ended with former racer (now drifter) Markus (MaukaZ) in 3rd place on the championship behind Alain Lang and Yann Lapprovette. The team rounded out a a tie for 2nd which resulted in a 3rd due to less podiums, no thanks to Bmxtwins who racked up very little points and getting DQF’ed in the last round causing us to loose silver in the championship.

NASCAR Heat:

On the other side of [LLM]’s spectrum is our NASCAR Heat team. The NASCAR Heat team which participates in Road Course racing and Oval racing is now 2 years old as a matter of fact. In the SpeedSims group c championship Bmxtwins earned 3 podiums. The first was at San Marino, in which he lost the Gold with 2 laps to go. He followed this third place up with 2 others in a row at Baton, and Mexico, 4th at Riverside. On our Oval side Bmxtwins also broke the Pole Record of NHRL Cup series at Atlanta Speedway. The pole record has been broken since. Bmxtwins had also finished out the NHRL NBS series of the past year in 6th position out of 39 racers, and 9th out of 36 in cup. Mustangman took 13th in cup and 9th in NBS. We finished with a total of 1 win, 12 top 5’s, 58 top 10s across the 3 oval series’s at NHRL of 2009 across 6 drivers in total, 3 only racing the majority. Onto New Age Sim Racing Patch won the NASR NH2k6 Heat Championship down in the points came into the last race and led every lap, Mustangman pushed him around the track and the two man team was not able to be stopped.

have all signed up to race in the NDR Kyoto 250 a very competitive race based off NASCAR’s Daytona racing the even will use XRT cars.

MaukaZ has taken 1st place in the individual points standings by 1 point yesterday at the Speedsims FOX on the Run Series finishing 4th. LLM Team standings are now in 3rd with a 4 point gap from1st and 2 point gap from TEM in 2nd place. Only two races left in the series. LETS GO LLM!

LLM’s MaukaZ scored back to back 3rd place podiums at the Speedsims Fox on the Run Series. While at Fernbay Dan_b23 scores a 4th right behind MaukaZ  it was a drag race to the line. MaukaZ is in 2nd for individual points and LLM main team is in 2nd for team points! Three races left in the series anything can happen!
